The effects of solvent residual on polycarbosilane(PCS) fibers on the preparation of PCS fibers prepared by dry spinning were studied.

Polycarbosilance(PC P) is a precursor for silicon carbide(SiC) fiber with good mechanical properties and low specific resistance.

Preparation of polycarbosilane (PCS) by pyrolysis of polydimethylsilane has been investigated. Effect of synthesis condition on the properties of products was studied.
