股金是股东对所认购的股份支付的款项。股东即股票的持有者。股份又称“股”。靠发行股票筹措资金的公司和企业，把其资本总额按相等的金额划分为若干个很小的单位，每一单位称为一个“股份”。每一个股份代表一定金额的资本。在中国现实生活中，股金有两类：(1)在深圳、上海等地居民认购了股份制试点企业的股票而支付的款项。(2)中国农村信用合作社在成立之初，社员在入社时缴纳的入股基金。
