Objective To observe the effects of Reed & Celery solution combined with ESWL in the treatment of subrenal calyx calculus.

There was a large renal calculus (stone) that obstructed the calyces of the lower pole of this kidney, leading to a focal hydronephrosis (dilation of the collecting system).

CONCLUSION the anatomic anomalies of lower renal calyces is one of the primary factor affecting the curative effect of renal calyceal stones.
