Parotitis and aseptic meningitis have been described as complications of mumps vaccination with Urabe, Leningrad–Zagreb and Leningrad-3 strains of the vaccine but not with the Jeryl–Lynn strain1.

Conclusion Early diagnosis, appropriate therapy, age and the complications are related to the prognosis of tuberculosis meningitis.

RESULTS: Of 170 patients, 2 (1.17%) developed infectious complications: 1 case of meningitis by Staphylococcus epidermidis and 1 case of sphenoid sinusitis (without microbiological diagnosis).
