This study investigated the use of evidences in argumentation in Chinese English learners English language writing.

It is expected that the conclusions obtained from a considerably large amount of data can provide insight into applying thematic progression into teaching of English writing and its revision.

As a commonly encountered genre, English argumentation possesses special features and characteristics which entail reader to apply specific strategies in reading practice.
