The work principle of belt tensioning device is explained. Power source incorporating accumulator can damp pressure variation of the system, hence to keep the stable tension of the belt.

A new hydraulic load simulation system, adopting a rotation directional valve and using a spring accumulator simulating the starter load, is proposed and working principles are described.
