蜗壳
蜗壳是蜗壳式引水室的简称，它的外形很像蜗牛壳，故通常简称蜗壳。为保证向导水机构均匀供水，所以蜗壳的断面逐渐减小，同时它可在导水机构前形成必要的环量以减轻导水机构的工作强度。蜗壳应采用适当的尺寸以保证水力损失较小，又可减小厂房的尺寸及降低土建投资。它是用钢筋混凝土或金属制造的闭式布置，可以适应各种水头和容量的要求。蜗壳是反击式水轮机中应用最普遍的一种引水室。
