The pump power distribution in the single diode directly pumped laser rod with different pumped parameters is simulated using the method of ray trace.

For infrared optical systems a point spread function is calculated in terms of the spot diagram obtained through geometrical ray trace or the theory of Kirchhoff diffraction.

ZEMAX software is used for optical ray tracking of the system to get images after cylindrical lens.
