This paper describes the direct recovery of gold and silver from the thiourea and sulphuric acid eluate of the loaded resin elution by using electrowinning in the diaphragm electrolyzer.

Experimental study has been made on substituting polytetrafluoroethylene oxygen electrode with silver catalyst for hydrogen cathode in chlorine-alkali electrolyzer in common use today.
