Though further progress has been maken in medication of decreasing intraocular pressure, surgery is still the main methods in the treatment of glaucoma.

The application of antiscaring drugs used in glaucoma filtration surgery was discussed. The medicine acted on different stages of scar formation, its mechanism and perspectives were reviewed.
