Hypertension and high cholesterol levels are both risk factors, but each condition has its own set of genetic risk factors, which interact with environmental influences such as stress and diet.

So in my current work, I'm collaborating with a geneticist to try to examine the full complexity of hypertension, studying both social and genetic factors.

It was suggested that genetic factors as internal cause of susceptibility acted the important part on the hypertensive occurrence.
