His wife's family owned atextilefactory and produced shawls, and the newlyweds started their own business in 1953 with an artisan's shop producing knitwear in Gallarate, near Milan.
Located in the Main Street Life complex, a renovated textilefactory, The Bioscope shows a programme of African-interest features as well as international films and documentaries.
