Interest in the program, which teaches basicskills like how to pitch a tent and dispose of trash in an eco-friendly way, has been high, said Tom Harvey, spokesman for the department.
The students attend a 2 month program, learning basic business economics, retailing, and communication skills, culminating with the development of a business plan for a local business.
The program provides milieu therapy, a school of treatment in which patients relearn basic values and skills by immersing themselves in a model community.
