For rougher terrain away from roads, engineers at Boston Dynamics are designing a walking robot to carry gear.

That will be followed by another 18 months of testing, according to Boston Dynamics founder and President Marc Raibert.

"It's just giving people information and encouraging them," Boston Dynamics founder Marc Raibert told CNB, "When Spot is patrolling the area, there's a parks officer nearby who can do whatever enforcement he decides is suitable."
