abstract:The Royal Library of Belgium (Koninklijke Bibliotheek België in Dutch, Bibliothèque royale de Belgique in French, abbreviated KBR and sometimes nicknamed Albertina) is one of the most important cultural institutions in Belgium. The library has a history that goes back to the age of the Dukes of Burgundy.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Convention on the Protection of Underwater Cultural Heritage (2001), UNESCO prepares in cooperation with the Catholic University of Leuven a regional meeting for Europe and a scientific colloquium on the protection of the underwater cultural heritage at the RoyalLibraryofBelgium in Brussels, from 13 to 15 December 2011.
