Though the new PCs have more processing power than older HP thin clients and are equipped with wireless connectivity, they have no hard drive and carry just enough flash memory to host the software necessary to wirelessly connect to a data center or to the Internet.
Under its shiny new skin, new hardware and software, such as a slimmed down version of Apple's OS X operating system and a flash memory drive, instead of the current iPod's mechanical hard drive, could keep the new device thin and light.
