abstract:James Lewis Carter Ford ( – July 16, 2013) was an American blues musician, using the name T-Model Ford. Unable to remember his exact date of birth, he began his musical career in his early 70s, and continuously recorded for the Fat Possum label, then switched to Alive Naturalsound Records.
It was not until Henry Ford's gas-powered Model T that the internal combustion engine and the car became inseparable.

While the Quadricycle, the 1909 Model T and a 1932 V-8 Ford are cars you'd expect to see in an array of historic vehicles, the value of "Driving America" is in the way that it presents cars you would be more likely to find in a junkyard than a museum.
