The company, founded by a group of Israeli military officials and jet-turbine experts from the former Soviet Union, has built a technologydemonstrator but needs a bigger partner to take the concept further.
"Whether the J-20 is an actual fighter prototype or a technologydemonstrator, remains to become clear, and this will in part determine how quickly China introduces such a capability into service, " Mr Barrie said.
