abstract:Thinning scissors, thinning shears, texturizing shears or chunking shears are special scissors with which hairdressers and barbers reduce hair thickness, to create special texturizing effects or to blend layered hair. Thinning scissors have a pair of pivoted blades in the same way as normal scissors, but one or both blades have teeth on the edge like a comb.
Thinningscissorsareusedby hair dressers and have serrated cutting edgesso that hair is cut atdifferentlengths. This way it doesn't all "bunch up" together.
