黄河支流汾河上的大型灌区。集中在汾河流域及晋南高原台地和涑水流域。引汾河水灌溉开发历史悠久，汉武帝时已开渠引水，至清末、民国时已具规模。1954年重新编制规划，灌溉面积达1100万亩，90年代建成30万亩以上的有汾河水库灌区、文峪河灌区、汾西灌区、潇河灌区等。
本文运用有关地下水系统理论，对山西省汾河灌区地下水资源作系统分析。
