Jeff Wacker, an HP fellow who led the project on behalf of HP's enterprise services division, described the project as a "multi-year, multi-phase" engagement.
The lead principal investigator for the project is Adam Arkin, director of the physical biosciences division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
The organization isn't directly investing in Project Glass itself, of course, with Google already having seen that its X division has what it needs in that regard.
